What was your inspiration for this collection?

It was a very floral inspiration, but also very abstract. Very light, textured pieces were really important; my favorite piece was the finale with the print on the silk foil.

What sets this apart from the other bridal collections we've seen this season?

My goal when I started doing bridal was to give the bride an alternative choice—it's been three seasons now. I was determined not to be about the Cinderella princess bride. That actually kept me from doing bridal for a very long time, but my partner said, "It's time to do it." And I said, "I'll do it, but I'll do it my way."

What kind of girl wears this collection?

She's obviously very chic and sophisticated. It's not for everyone, and it's not for the masses. She's somebody who wants to make a statement, and she's definitely an individual.

What do you recommend as that finishing touch on a bridal look?

I'm not big on huge, important jewelry. I don't really like costume jewelry for bridal, so I think you should keep it simple.
