Sure, much of planning a wedding is about finding that perfectly fabulous dress in which to say “I do.” But nothing draws attention to the bride’s face like a pretty pop of pink lip color—a huge makeup trend on the runways this season.
Barely There
Christos went the subtle route with a light, natural shade of pink on the lips. The rest of the face was left dewy and virtually makeup-free. To get the look, try Burberry Lip Glow in Rose. ($27, us.burberry.com)
Rebel Romance
Kenneth Pool showed a romantic look with a coral shade of pink lip color. The rest of the face was clean, with brightened-up eyes dotted with silvery shadow on the inner corners. Crave this pop of pink? Apply Dolce & Gabbana’s Shine Lipstick in Fascination. ($30, saksfifthavenue.com)
Minimalistic Glow
Monique Lhuillier’s runway was all about minimalism with a soft pink lip color. The rest of the look was kept bare with just a touch of bronzer and blush. If a similar subtle swipe of color is what you seek, we recommend Chanel’s Rouge Coco in Ruban Rose. ($30, chanel.com)
Drama Fusion
St. Pucchi and Avine Perucci by St. Pucchi went for the wow-factor with a bright fuchsia lip. They didn’t shy away from additional makeup—cheeks were also flushed a bright pink. If an unapologetically girly face is your look, try Tom Ford’s Private Blend Lip Color in Pure Pink ($45, bergdorfgoodman.com). The rich formula is smooth, creamy and packed with pigment (and we love the sophisticated white packaging), making it more than worth the hefty price tag.
